Yale Model United Nations South Asia is committed to ensuring that a delegate's growth and enrichment is prioritized above all else. As a result, YMUN South Asia is proud to offer three types of awards to delegates to ensure that as many delegates as possible are recognized for their contributions and efforts in committee.
Delegate Awards
For committees of 30 and fewer delegates , there will be: 1 Best Delegate Award (1st Place), 1 Outstanding Delegate Award (2nd Place), 2 Honorable Mentions (3rd Place), 1 Best Position Paper Award
For committees of 31 and more delegates, there will be: 1 Best Delegate Award, 2 Outstanding Awards, and 2 Honorable Mentions, 1 Best Position Paper Award
Committee Awards, which will be announced at the final committee session instead of at the closing ceremony. The director will have full discretion in selecting the recipients of these awards.
For committees of 30 and fewer delegates, there will be: 1 Most Improved Award; 1 Best Engagement Award; 1 Best Teamwork Award
For committees of 31 and more delegates there will be: 1 Most Improved Award; 2 Best Engagement Awards; 2 Best Teamwork Awards
Delegation Awards
YMUN South Asia will award three delegations with the distinction of Best Delegation, Outstanding Delegation, and Honorable Delegation. The delegations will be selected on the basis of overall performance and delegation size. The Yale Model United Nations South Asia Secretariat reserves the right of confidentiality in regards to its awards policy.
