UNDER-SECRETARY-GENERAL OF DELEGATIONS

Lee-Ann Kao (she/her) is a senior from Zionsville, IN, majoring in Statistics & Data Science and Global Affairs. She is so excited to be serving as the co-USG of Delegations for YMUN South Asia, after having served as the USG of Delegations for YMUN 50 and YMUN Taiwan IX, as well as Secretary-General of YMUN Taiwan. Outside of her work in YIRA, Lee-Ann co-leads the Taiwanese-American Society at Yale. In her free time, you can find her outside on her picnic blanket in Branford Courtyard, napping, or watching Netflix. She can’t wait to meet all of the delegates and advisors this year, and welcomes any questions, comments, or concerns at delegations@ymunsouthasia.org.

UNDER-SECRETARY-GENERAL OF DELEGATIONS

Ayush Tibrewal is a senior in Silliman College from Lexington, KY, double majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. In the past, he was an ASG of Delegations for YMUN XLIX and led both YMUN 50 and YMUN LI, so he's looking forward to serving as a USG of Delegations for YMUN South Asia. Outside of YIRA, Ayush is also the President of Yale Undergraduate Mathematics Society as well as Yale Mathcounts Outreach. Jad Abdel Nour is a sophomore in Benjamin Franklin College from Los Angeles, CA, majoring in Global Affairs and Cognitive Science. He is excited to serve as Under-Secretary-General of Outreach for the first iteration of YMUN South Asia! At Yale, he is a part of the First-Year Class Council, the Yale Policy Institute, and the Dwight Hall Socially Responsible Investment Fund. Caleb Nieh (he/him) is a senior in Grace Hopper College from New York City majoring in Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering. He has previously been a part of both YMUN Korea and YMUN Singapore, and he cannot wait to serve as one of the USGs of Conference for YMUN South Asia! Outside of classes, Caleb volunteers for Code Haven, serves as an Intramural Sports Secretary, and teaches through various ways in the Computer Science Department. In his free time, you can find him spending time with friends, climbing, trying new foods, and attempting to cook. Sahra Wahedi (she/her) is a junior in Pierson College from Queens, New York, majoring in Global Affairs. She is excited to organize the programming for YMUN South Asia as an Under-Secretary-General of Conference. Currently, Sahra is the Executive Director of YIRA and a Peer Liaison for the Middle Eastern North African Cultural Community. Previously, she has been involved in YIRLI, YMUN Dubai, and YMUN LI. Abby (she/her) is a senior in Benjamin Franklin College from Newton, Massachusetts. She is majoring in Architecture and Urban Studies, with a certificate in Chinese Language. She is excited to serve as the USG of Branding for YMUN South Asia! On campus, she is often frequenting Atticus, the Elm, and Willoughbys in search of a good matcha latte. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, and trying new restaurants around New Haven. She is a true foodie and self-proclaimed food critic. Matthew Chen (he/him) is a junior in Davenport College from San Francisco, California, majoring in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. He is excited to take part in his first YMUN conference with the first iteration of YMUN South Asia as Under-Secretary-General of Branding. Currently, he is also involved with the Yale College Council, Yale Glee Club, Yale Democrats, and the Yale Daily News! Jayanti Gupta (she/her) is a senior in Berkeley College from Michigan, majoring in Global Affairs and Statistics & Data Science. She’s thrilled to serve as USG of Committees for YMUN South Asia and is excited to help lead her first YMUN Conference! At Yale, Jayanti is the President of the Dwight Hall SRI Fund, the nation’s oldest and largest student-run socially responsible investment fund. She also volunteers through CityStep, teaching dance to kids at IRIS, and leads entrepreneurship programming at the Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking. In her free time, you’ll find Jayanti doing Just Dance with friends, browsing vintage stores, going on long hikes, or watching Bollywood movies. Zoey Duan (she/her) is a current senior in Jonathan Edwards College, studying Global Affairs, Global Health Studies, and Statistics and Data Science. She is so excited to get to know all each and every delegate at YMUN South Asia this fall! Zoey has previously served as USG of Outreach/Director for YMUN Taiwan X and Director-General of Operations for YMUN Korea XII. Outside of YMUN, she conducts medical research with Johns Hopkins Medicine, policy research with the Next Frontier Seminar, and quality improvement as a director for Yale's student-run primary health clinic, Haven Free Clinic. In her free time, she loves listening to sad ballads and true crime podcasts, pretending to study at cafes, and playing games (Monopoly Deal!) with friends. Matheus Nucci Mascarenhas (or Matt) is super excited to be a Director at YMUN South Asia! Born and raised in a countryside city near São Paulo, Brazil, Matheus is a first-year student at Saybrook College and intends to major in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. Outside YMUN LATAM, Matheus is a Case-Team Lead of the Global Strategy Consulting Group, the Co-President of the Brazil Club, and a Director in YMUN Latin America. In his free time, he loves reading Brazilian literature and hanging out with his dear friends. Bringing a warm, friendly, and hardworking spirit, Matheus is excited to serve as Director. DIRECTOR

Maddi Brown (she/her/hers) is a senior in Pierson College, originally from a small town in Wirtz, Virginia. She is majoring in Physics and is excited to be entering her third year with YIRA. Throughout her involvement, Maddi has chaired multiple committees for YMUN in addition to serving as a director for YMUN Dubai II. She is thrilled to continue to be able to continue her involvement by serving as a director for YMUN South Asia. On campus, Maddi is a STARS I peer mentor, a program dedicated to providing guidance for underrepresented first-year students in STEM. Outside of academics, Maddi enjoys exploring new cities, live music and concerts, and trying new foods! With all that being said, she is looking forward to connecting with delegates, hearing their ideas, and fostering engaging discussions during the conference. Riley Getchell (she/her) is a junior in Silliman College from Whitman, Massachusetts majoring in Political Science with a certificate in Education Studies. She has loved her experience on the Secretariat of YMUN LI and can't wait to help create the first iteration of YMUN South Asia as a director! Outside of YIRA, she is the Elections Coordinator for the Yale College Democrats, a Yale & You Counselor at the admissions office, a library assistant at the YCBA, and a Silliman Aide. Cyrus Cursetjee (he/him) is a senior at Stiles College from New York City, and he is very excited to serve as a Director in the first iteration of the YMUN South Asia conference! Cyrus is a Computer Science major with a Certificate in Advanced Chinese Language in Ezra Stiles College. Outside of YMUN South Asia, Cyrus is the captain of the Yale Table Tennis Team.
